Sutradara film Martin Scorsese film petualangan 'Hugo' berhasil mendominasi dengan lima trofi. Tapi film menerima kategori penghargaan yang bisa dibilang 'kurang bergengsi'.
Sementara 'The Artist' memenangkan lima trofi melalui kategori Aktor Terbaik, Sutradara Terbaik, Film Terbaik dan Original Score.
